I will ask the Minister of PUPR to increase these certifications ten-fold for next year”, Jokowi added. He also highlighted the importance of implementing new technologies in infrastructure development, saying that technology must be utilized to improve efficiency and quality in building and developing infrastructure.
Richard Butter, Director Traffic Technology of RAI Amsterdam, owner of the Intertraffic events portfolio and co-organiser of Intertraffic Indonesia noted, “Technology development pushes every sector to grow, including traffic and city management. That is why smart cities are being developed in many countries around the globe. Indonesia itself has great potential in the traffic technology and IoT industries since congestion is one of the main problems facing the country. Therefore, Intertraffic Indonesia is a great platform to present new technologies that can be implemented to improve Indonesia’s road transport infrastructure and traffic management.”
