Icaro Pierre Schmitz Freddo is a mechanical engineer with a Master’s degree in Engineering and an MBA in Project Management, with over 10 years of experience in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and mobility innovation. As Coordinator of Products and Innovation at Mobilis, he plays a strategic role in developing new business opportunities and driving the introduction of innovative solutions across Latin American and global markets.
Focused on road safety, public safety, and environmental sustainability, Icaro leads initiatives that connect technology, market strategy, and real-world deployment. He coordinates innovation groups dedicated to advanced traffic technologies and collaborates closely with public authorities, industry partners, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions.
Icaro has also contributed to technical standardization efforts through active participation in ABNT (Brazilian Association of Technical Standards) working groups, supporting the development of standards related to dynamic weighing and traffic monitoring systems. An experienced speaker, he has presented at major smart mobility and innovation events, including Smart City Curitiba (Brazil), and participated in international ITS congresses. At Intertraffic Amsterdam, Icaro will share insights on traffic noise detection systems and how emerging sensing technologies are enabling smarter enforcement strategies and more sustainable urban mobility environments.
