Ettifos THEUS OBU and RSU Win Top Excellence Award at Korea’s TTA Awards
Ettifos' C-V2X On-board Unit (OBU) and Roadside Unit (RSU) have been awarded the Top Excellence Award at the 2025 South Korea Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) Certification Awards.
Now in its 15th year, the TTA Certification Awards recognize Korea’s most innovative ICT products and technologies from leading companies, including Samsung Electronics and LG U+.
This year, from more than 3,500 tested products, only nine were selected for awards, with Ettifos honored as one of the few recipients following rigorous evaluation of usability, creativity, market potential, and technological advancement.
Ettifos’ award-winning solutions are engineered to deliver reliable and low-latency communication, essential for intelligent transportation systems, road safety, and road efficiency.
Supporting LTE-V2X (PC5) sidelink communication, the devices enable real-time transmission of safety and road-related messages between vehicles and infrastructure, providing the foundation for safer roads, cooperative driving, and reduced congestion.
Ettifos’ achievement reflects the rising importance of Korean-developed V2X technologies in the global marketplace. The company’s OBU and RSU underwent evaluation for performance, interoperability, and compliance with international V2X standards, earning the highest distinction among all entries this year.
This award marks the first case in which a domestically developed V2X communication device has proven its competitiveness in the global market through international certification and real-world validation, increasing the likelihood that it will be adopted as a standard device in public fleets and smart infrastructure.
“Receiving the Top Excellence Award is a meaningful validation of our commitment to innovation in C-V2X technology,” said Kangmin Lee, COO of Ettifos.
“As autonomous driving and smart transportation infrastructure continue to expand, we will keep proving that Korea’s technological capabilities are competitive in the global market.”
Ettifos will continue to expand its V2X portfolio, strengthen global partnerships, and support smart-city and autonomous-driving initiatives across Korea, the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.
