In the past decade, we've seen the emergence of more new forms of mobility than in a long time, and more is on the horizon. Think about New mobility solutions like Robo-taxis, AI-enabled systems, On Demand/MaaS, delivery drones, electric vehicles, and automated transit networks for sustainable transportation and mobility. Such developments can also be accompanied by structural changes in our mobility behaviour, as our study into the impact of self-driving transport in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Region showed. But these can create additional challenges and frustrations, sometimes leading to them being removed or policies being rapidly updated. Are decisions happening faster than the impacts are fully understood? Existing assessment models focus on infrastructure and benchmarks but overlook the impact to the planet and peoples lives like ecological, social equity, affordability, and AI governance aspects. Are Climate, equity, affordability, and digital trust risks assessed too late?
Arcadis are offering a new framework offering an impact-first model aligned to WBCSD priorities and pathways, enabling informed decisions while embedding safeguards and aligning with sustainability. This approach ensures transportation and mobility innovation supports biodiversity, social inclusion, digital trust, and reduces risks while meeting climate targets.

Is innovation moving faster than trust? How should we prepare for Future Mobility?

Whether dealing with planned events (e.g., large sporting events) or unplanned situations (e.g., severe weather), the overarching objectives of proactively monitoring, operating and supporting the safe, efficient, and resilient functioning of transport networks become increasingly challenging. Achieving this requires a coordinated approach, shared understanding, and strong integration across both intra‑ and inter‑agency partners.
By improving communication between operational partners and stakeholders - and ensuring everyone works from a single source of truth - up‑to‑date and accurate information can be shared internally and externally. This helps minimise disruption and enhances safety during periods of major transport resilience challenges. With significant recent technological advances, particularly in cooperative ITS systems, richer data availability, and new communication channels, there are major opportunities to rethink and transform how network operations are managed and delivered.
At Arcadis, we are supporting such operations globally, harnessing new tools, systems, data, and AI. We will showcase examples and highlight the benefits these innovations bring to safe, effective, and efficient infrastructure and network management. We will share insights and case studies from the NATO Summit in The Hague, Traffic Scotland Operations, and several of our projects across North America.

Paul is the innovation-driven Director of Mobility within Technolution. From the start, I have focused on innovations in (road and vessel) traffic management. Not limiting myself to applied research and proofs-of-concepts, but helping the innovations find their way to Technolution's commercial propositions and platforms for traffic information and management. And yes, this requires the patience that can take 10 to 15 years from the moment of the first targeted demonstrations to the broadly rolled-out and operational solutions that really matter. A logical next step in recent years was to help the innovations cross the boundaries of modalities and civil infrastructural networks and land them within new forms of public-private cooperation. The challenge for the coming years lies in connecting the traffic domain with the other domains within livable and vibrant cities and regions, including energy, high assurance and healthcare.

An experienced sales professional with several years of expertise in License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology. Having led LPR projects from a technical standpoint, he now applies his knowledge as a Sales Representative for SURVISION, covering the Western U.S. and Canada. Guillermo works closely with integrators and parking operators to deliver advanced LPR solutions that enhance access control, enforcement, revenue optimization, and security.

By combining his experience in the field of (cycling) mobility and his training as an urban planner Sjors can create effective connections between these fields of expertise. He believes that public space is not just transportation space, just as that traffic and mobility is not just about moving goods and people. The trip, be it on a bicycle, in a car or in a train, can add value to the traveller and to the inhabitants of a city. By allowing people to move in and between places you create connections and facilitate social interaction creating innovation and a sense of belonging to space and place. In the past years Sjors has worked at several governmental levels; local, regional, and national level.
Sjors has extensive experience in planning cycling infrastructure and developing cycling policies. He can combine different views and cultures and combine those in tailor-made approaches; aimed at a specific city, region, or country. He integrates deep knowledge on design principles (protected intersections, cycling highways) with extensive policy and political experience; all to make sure that sustainable, cycling friendly, cities can be developed.

My name is Simonas Čižauskas. I work at Kauno autobusai as the Head of the Route and Timetable Planning Department, where my main goal is to develop and implement data-driven solutions that continuously improve Kaunas’ public transport system. My work combines passenger flow analysis, timetable optimisation, and the application of new planning approaches to ensure that public transport decisions are based on real data and closely reflect passenger needs.

Head of Route and Timetable Planning Department,

Chris Riley is the Chief Commercial Officer of Glydways, responsible for growing global business, partnerships and corporate reputation.
Glydways is a new mass transit system, that revolutionizes both the transit rider experience and traditional poor economics. It offers every individual a personal on demand, non-stop, 24/7 journey in their own autonomous electric vehicle, at a very low price. And for cities, Glydways offers much lower costs to build and run compared with other transit modes. When combined with higher ridership, this attracts private financing and helps create profitable public transit systems that do not require subsidies.
Now based in the Bay Area in California, Chris has a business and marketing background, having held senior positions with Ogilvy in Asia Pacific advising global brands for over 30 years. This creative enterprise experience is ideal for helping to bring Glydways to new markets and scale operations as it becomes operationally ready.
Glydways has already been awarded several contracts for San Jose City, East Contra Costa County in California, Port Authority NYNJ, Bluewaters Dubai and has recently broken ground for a Pilot Demonstration in South Metro Atlanta, which opens to the public in December 2026. Additionally, there are hundreds of other live discussions on projects with interested stakeholders across the world.
Glydways recently achieved a close for a successful Series C investment round which is backed by Suzuki, Khosla Ventures, ACS Infra, New Science Ventures, ENEOS, Mitsui Chemicals, Sam Altman and Gates Frontier.
As Glydways continues to expand, it’s more than 250 employees believe that we offer a solution that cities urgently need to help solve congestion, and that provides a uniquely better way to move people.
