Hanne has been an active member of the ITS Norway board since 2018, serving as Chair from 2019 to 2024. In March 2025, she was appointed CEO of ITS Norway, where she continues to drive innovation and collaboration in intelligent transport systems.

Dagmar Hofsteede-Cats is project manager, program manager and process facilitator in various mobility projects. Coming from her Master in Urban Design and Planning (TU Eindhoven), Dagmar has developed her career further in the mobility sector. After years of experience in business development and strategy in the automotive industry, she has made the shift to the public sector.
Dagmar currently works as project manager of ROMO (Road Monitor) on behalf of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water management. The ROMO project fosters mobility data innovation by developing anonymized vehicle data into valuable information to improve road safety and road management. The project links 11 providers of datasets and information products to the wide audience of road authorities. From municipalities to provinces to national road management, from road safety hotspots to potholes to detection of slippery roads. Maaike Snelder is associate professor at the Department of Transport and Planning, Civil Engineering at the Delft University of Technology and principal scientist at TNO. She is co-director of the Sustainable Urban Multimodal Mobility Lab (SUM Lab) and Editor-in-Chief of the platinum open access European Journal of Transport and Infrastructure Research (EJTIR).
Maaike was/is principal investigator in the NWO research programs Mobility DesAIgn Lab, XCARCITY (co-lead), SUMMALab, ToGRIP and STAD (co-lead) and lead scientist in several other large projects focusing on the development of a next generation of traffic and transport models and the development of interactive network design methods.
Her research focuses on impact assessment and design of multimodal transport systems with a special interest in the resilience of networks and the impact of new mobility concepts like automated vehicles and shared mobility. Maaike has a broad experience in the development and application of static and dynamic, strategic and real-time traffic transport models and optimization models for network design. For example, she developed the new mobility modeler to assess impacts of new mobility concepts, she developed an optimization and impact assessment model for robust road network design, she led a joint research project on activity based models, she oversaw the development of the first real-time waterway traffic model for the canals of Amsterdam and lead the development of prediction and smart routing models in the context of the ‘Praktijkproef’ (field trial) in Amsterdam. Maaike completed her PhD research about robust road network design in 2010 (Cum Laude) and completed her study Econometrics in 2003.

Karol is a co-owner and Business Development Manager at Spinnistart, an IT company developing innovative digital platforms for parking and property access management. Since 2019, he has also been a co-owner and Board Member of AS Signaal, Estonia’s largest provider of traffic management and traffic safety solutions, contributing to the deployment of intelligent traffic systems and safer urban infrastructure.

Boris Kuijpers is Market Segment Manager Defence & Mobility at FME (the Netherlands’ employers’ organisation for the technology industry). He has extensive experience at the intersection of defence, mobility and high‑tech industry programmes, and regularly works with companies, government and knowledge institutions on market development and collaboration within these domains. In his role at FME, Boris supports companies in navigating opportunities within defence and mobility markets, including dual‑use ecosystems and public‑private cooperation. Elizabeth Row is the CEO and Co-Founder of Dareesoft, an IoT and AI technology company delivering intelligent mobility solutions for safer road infrastructure. With over a decade of experience in IoT systems and global technology leadership, Elizabeth has expanded international operations, driven revenue growth, and launched multiple innovation-focused business units across smart cities, data platforms, and artificial intelligence.

He currently serves as Development Team Leader at Bamboos, where he leads the design and implementation of advanced Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and smart mobility solutions. His work focuses on real-time traffic incident detection, Digital Twin technologies, and high-performance data processing architectures that enhance situational awareness and enable proactive traffic management. He has driven the development of modular and scalable system architectures, optimized high-volume data pipelines, and introduced patented solutions for automated geographic data generation, significantly improving operational efficiency and reducing manual processes.

Remco is director of Rebel Living Mobility, Rebel Development and a joint venture specialized in automated driving, Dutch Automated Mobility. Originally a financial economist, with extensive knowledge and experience in investments and cost-benefit analyses within infrastructure, mobility and area development. From Rebel he accompanies government and companies as a friendly co-pilot in investment projects, negotiations, decision-making and environmental management, always focused on results. Research into complex issues such as decision-making on the accessibility of metropolitan regions, various Smart Mobility programs, infrastructure and transport and automated-driving. 
In 2022/ 2023 Remco was program manager for a 7,5 billion euro investment in the accessibility of new residential areas, om behalf of two ministries.
Since 2022 Remco is board member of a foundation for zero emission logistics.

Founder and director

Professorate senior engineer  at the  China Academy of Transportation Sciences, Ministry of Transport. His research interests including AI empowered transport technology, information and data utilization. He has participated in and presided over 40 national or provincial level research and engineering projects.

Director Chief

Joost Vantomme, Belgian national with 35 years of experience in legal and regulatory policy affairs, combined with a strong track record in strategy and project management is the CEO of ERTICO-ITS Europe (www.ertico.com).
He has served as Legal and Policy Director with incumbent operators in the telecommunications, postal, e-commerce/logistics, and automotive sectors. He has held leading policy-making roles in European associations such as PostEurop, FEDMA, and ACEA, as well as at the United Nations level (UPU). Joost has also been a member of the cabinet of the Belgian Minister of Economy and a Director at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, an EU consultancy firm. In addition, he is active in various expert groups of the European Commission and on advisory boards of EU-funded projects.
 
Before joining ERTICO in January 2022 as CEO, he served for more than five years as Smart Mobility Director at ACEA. Joost has held positions as Chair of the Strategy Committee of ERTICO-ITS Europe and as a member of its Supervisory Board. He also served as a Board Member and Vice President of the Mobility as a Service (MaaS) Alliance.
 
A frequent conference speaker and published author, he engages with stakeholders on European and international policy issues, as well as on research and innovation project management in the context of mobility and the digital agenda.
 
Fluent in Dutch, French, English, and German, Joost holds a Master’s degree in Economic and Business Law, a Master’s degree in Law, and a Diploma in Teaching Law (Universities of Leuven, Poitiers, and Louvain-la-Neuve). He has also completed additional education in economics, business, and management.

Mr. Wolfgang Domann brings over 20 years of experience from his previous management roles in building new businesses and sales of solution and product offerings. Due to his professional background, he is considered an expert in the field of applying AI and machine learning in business.
Furthermore, Mr. Domann has accumulated extensive national and international leadership and management experience in various markets, ranging from startups to corporate and large-scale clients. He has successfully implemented processes, from acquisition to contract closure, in international sales.
His experience in marketing and communication spans from branding, press, web, e-commerce, and online media to CXO presentations and hosting major customer events.

Veronique is a sustainable mobility consultant at Mobycon, where she works on diverse Dutch and international mobility projects committed to making sustainable transport accessible to all. Veronique is the project manager for the MegaBITS project on behalf of the province of Overijssel. Together with colleagues, she supports the partner cities and regions in realizing their smart cycling projects and is responsible for supervising the project progress.
As a spatial planner, her passion lies in creating people-centered urban spaces, where sustainable mobility seamlessly integrates into daily life.

Erwan is the Vice President of Product Strategy and Operations for the IDEMIA Public Security’s Road Safety business line. He has 14 years of experience at IDEMIA group, contributing significantly to product portfolio management & strategic partnerships. Previously, he managed Identity and Public Security programs across multiple regions, focusing on AI-driven video analytics. Since 2017, he has driven IDEMIA’s Road Safety business line expansion, securing key contracts in the Middle East, NORAM, and Europe.

Willem-Frederik Metzelaar is Regional Director of Innovation Hub West at EIT Urban Mobility, covering the Netherlands, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Belgium and Luxembourg. He works at the intersection of public policy, industry, investment and academia, helping cities translate ambition into implementable mobility transitions.
Over the past decade, Willem-Frederik has witnessed the evolution from the early “Smart City” narrative—often technology-driven and infrastructure-focused—towards a more systemic and human-centered approach. Today, he advocates for WISE Cities: cities that are Wellbeing-oriented, Inclusive, Sustainable, and Evidence-based in their economic development.
