Akhilesh Srivastava

Akhilesh Srivastava is an internationally recognized infrastructure and digital transformation leader, credited with pioneering India’s digital tolling revolution through FASTag and laying the foundation for multilane free-flow tolling, satellite-based tolling, and AI-driven road management systems. As President of the International Road Federation (IRF) India Chapter and President of the ITS India Forum, he has been instrumental in promoting intelligent transportation systems, technology-enabled road safety, and sustainable infrastructure across India and globally.

A former senior officer of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), he led large-scale national programs including the AI-powered NHAI Data Lake, Highway Digital Twin initiatives, and Road Safety 2.0, which integrates advanced technology for achieving Vision Zero.

Akhilesh also serves as the Road Safety Ambassador for IRF and WEF and advises governments and global organizations on smart mobility, digital infrastructure, and transport innovation. His thought leadership continues to inspire collaborative, technology-driven pathways for safer, smarter, and more sustainable mobility worldwide.
