Automatic vehicle detection using loop inductors
A system for automatic detection and classification of vehicles using embedded loop inductors in the road surface. The system detects the presence of a vehicle in the measurement field and determines its magnetic signature, which is used to identify the type of vehicle (according to the TLS 8+1 classification), its speed, direction of movement, and lane. Based on this signature, the length of the vehicle and the distance to the preceding vehicle are also estimated.NeuroCar Weigh-in-Motion
Detection and weighing of vehicles in motion
System for automatic detection and weighing of vehicles in motion. The system utilizes a special arrangement of sensors (inductive loops, pressure sensors) installed in the road surface. This arrangement is designed in such a way that vehicles can be weighed without the need to stop or slow down – they can travel at normal driving speed. As a result, the system can be installed on public roads and is capable of monitoring the weight of each passing vehicle.
