Cream of the crop – Sustainable Mobility takes centre stage at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026
With less than nine months before the doors to a world of traffic technology innovation swing open once again, visitors to Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026 can look forward to a comprehensive showcase of sustainable mobility and smart solutions, building on trends from previous editions and the 2024 summit program. Here's a brief guide to what you can expect to see, hear, learn and experience:
A Focus on Sustainable Urban Mobility & Climate Goals
The Summit tracks will centre on sustainability themes such as decarbonising transport, 15-minute city planning, active travel (walking, cycling), micromobility regulation and sustainable urban mobility plans (SUMPs). Expect workshops aligned with the EU Green Deal, discussing CO₂ emission reduction targets and applying digital + governance measures to flexible public spaces.
Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) & Integrated Platforms
A major emphasis on MaaS and multimodal ecosystems - integrating public transit, shared vehicles, micromobility and digital ticketing under unified platforms. Startup zone ITSUP will feature scalable smart mobility solutions, with winners from 2024 (e.g. Transcality, SMATS) earning exhibition space in 2026.
EV Charging & Low-Emission Infrastructure
Intertraffic Amsterdam will feature a dedicated pavilion for EV charging and parking - covering fast chargers, infrastructure integration, regulation and planning. Exhibits will range from parking providers highlighting EV infrastructure within curb and kerb management.
AI-Powered Smart Assets & Traffic Management
Sessions on AI, machine learning and big data in traffic control will focus on smart asset management, real-time analytics, sensor networks and adaptive signal control.
Platforms for data exchange, interoperability and digital twins will be strong features to aid city operations.
Active & Micromobility Infrastructure
Smart cycling infrastructure, micromobility vehicles (e-scooters, bikes), mobility hubs, pedestrian-centric planning, and better last-mile logistics will feature heavily on the exhibit floor and summit sessions.
Noise & Air-Quality Mitigation Tech
Award-winning solutions from 2024, such as See’s acoustic panels and Intelligent Instruments’ noise-enforcement cameras, will inspire future noise mitigation efforts.
Innovative smog-reducing road barriers, eg SmogStop with photocatalytic coating and vortex design, are set to return.

Sustainable Parking & Kerb Management
Parking has been reframed and rebranded as an integral part of mobility - themes include smart kerb usage, integration with MaaS, EV charging, dynamic guidance and enforcement.
Urban Air Mobility & Drone Logistics
Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026 is being run concurrently with Amsterdam Drone Week, presenting eVTOLs, drone taxis, drone-based delivery for medicines and food, vertiport planning, UTM regulation. Highlights include remote-controlled shared cars and student prototypes such as solar-powered off-road ‘Stella Terra’ by TU Eindhoven.

Public-Private Partnerships & Sustainability Regulation
There will also be a whole gamut of sessions showcasing successful PPPs in sustainable mobility, plus EU and city representation (e.g. International Road Federation, Dutch Ministry, European Parliament). Policy debates on micromobility regulation, AV integration, parking, EV charging standards, and air mobility frameworks will also rank as must-attend events within the four days of Intertraffic Amsterdam 2036.
Among (but not limited to) the Sustainable Mobility highlights at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026 are:
SmogStop by Gramm Barrier Systems (Stand 09.307)
A groundbreaking noise barrier that actively cleans the air using photocatalytic coatings and aerodynamic design to reduce NOx and VOCs by up to 95% -combining quiet roads with cleaner air.
Swarco X-Line (Stand 02.222)
This intelligent, decentralized traffic-signal platform consumes a mere 1 watt per signal, slashing energy use at intersections via fewer components, plug-and-play setup, and minimal underground wiring.
iMAPAV by Sernis (Stand 01.207)
A smart infrastructure for autonomous vehicle parking, allowing AVs to reserve, locate, pay for and park themselves - each spot is equipped with sensors and status lights for seamless on-street parking. Winners of the Intertraffic Amsterdam Green Globe Award in 2022.

TraffiPole by Jenoptik (Stand 01.416)
Lightweight, recyclable aluminium housing for road infrastructure that requires no active cooling; double-wall ventilation plus optional solar panels cut power usage and CO₂ output.
Toogethr Parking (Stand 07.304)
A multimodal smart-parking ecosystem for organisations - integrating bike-share, shuttles, buses, parking - with real-time data to minimise congestion and car usage.

Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026 will be a holistic showcase of sustainability-driven mobility technologies, covering everything from EV infrastructure and green barriers to data-driven traffic systems, MaaS platforms, micromobility, and emerging drone and air-mobility solutions. It's an unmissable event for anyone involved in shaping the future of cities and urban transport. Join the global mobility industry in Amsterdam in March and discover what the world of sustainable mobility has to offer.
