Are you looking to expand your reach beyond North America into Central and South America?
MRL is part of Federal Signal, a US$1.1billion corporation with global distribution in key Latin American markets. Key brands under Federal Signal are Elgin sweepers, Vactor sewer trucks, Guzzler vacuum trucks and Jetstream high-pressure pumps, in addition to MRL, so the reach is actually already in place.
What opportunities are there for companies based outside of Mexico to make a significant imprint in that market?
Mexico has substantial potential for US companies due to long-standing significance as a trading partner and easy access between countries. It has always been challenging but with placement of strategic partners in country, Mexico can be a very large market for any US company focusing on international business. Monterrey is a key city for us, besides Mexico City.
