SWARCO strengthens UK road marking business with Hi-Way Services acquisition

SWARCO has expanded its Road Marking Systems division with the acquisition of UK-based Hi-Way Services Ltd., reinforcing its presence in one of Europe’s largest road infrastructure markets. The move supports SWARCO’s long-term strategy to strengthen its road safety and mobility solutions portfolio in the UK.

Founded in 1993, Hi-Way Services is a family-owned road and car park marking specialist based in Kent. The company employs around 60 people, operates from three depots across southern England and generates annual revenues of approximately £10.8 million. Its expertise includes highway and off-highway road markings, high-friction surfacing and road stud installation, serving customers such as National Highways, local authorities, civil engineering firms and major contractors.

SWARCO says the acquisition strengthens its UK market position while preserving Hi-Way Services’ established customer focus and operational expertise. The existing management team, led by Managing Director Danny O'Reilly, will continue to lead the business as part of the SWARCO Group, supporting future growth and expanding road marking capabilities across the region.
