Smarter Vision for Safer and Data-Driven Mobility

As transportation systems evolve toward automation and data-driven decision-making, accurate visual intelligence is becoming a core infrastructure component. At this year’s Intertraffic Amsterdam, where Eyedea Recognition will exhibit at booth 01.510, the company presents advanced recognition technologies designed for large-scale real-world deployment across global mobility ecosystems.
Eyedea Recognition’s MMR (Make & Model Recognition) technology, continuously developed since 2007, ranks among the most detailed vehicle recognition systems available worldwide. Today, the system is capable of classifying vehicles across 16 categories, 371 makes, 3,005 models, 7,830 generations, and 20 visual attribute tags, reflecting nearly two decades of proprietary neural network training and refinement. This exceptional level of granularity enables highly precise vehicle identification far beyond standard detection capabilities. In addition to recognizing vehicle make, model, and body type, the newest generation introduces safety-focused analytics, including automatic detection of rider count on motorcycles and other single-track vehicles, as well as identification of riders without helmets — enabling new approaches to traffic safety monitoring, enforcement, and compliance.

Complementing MMR is Eyedea Recognition’s ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) solution, developed since 2006, placing the company among the early pioneers of modern license plate recognition. Its proprietary OCR engine detects license plate corners even from sharp viewing angles, allowing reliable recognition of heavily angled, partially visible, or otherwise difficult plates. Current development focuses on continuous regional accuracy optimization, ensuring consistent performance across diverse plate formats and global deployments.

Designed for Modern Mobility Ecosystems

Unlike conventional traffic monitoring systems limited to vehicle detection, Eyedea Recognition technologies provide broader situational awareness. MMR also detects soft mobility and vulnerable road users, including pedestrians, bicycles, strollers, and animals — delivering valuable contextual data for safer infrastructure planning and traffic analysis.
Both MMR and ANPR are deployed globally and support key mobility and security sectors, including:
• E-Tolling & Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS)
• Parking & Access Management
• Law Enforcement and Traffic Enforcement
• Smart City Infrastructure
• Police Investigation and Forensic Analysis
By combining highly accurate vehicle identification with deep contextual recognition, Eyedea Recognition enables operators and authorities to transition from passive monitoring toward predictive traffic management, improved safety enforcement, and data-driven infrastructure optimization.
Eyedea Recognition will showcase both technologies at Intertraffic Amsterdam at booth 01.510, demonstrating how long-term AI development translates into practical solutions ready for real-world mobility challenges.

Frontex

We will showcase our AI-powered vehicle recognition technologies such as ANPR and MMR, supporting authorities in monitoring vehicle movement — a critical task given that over 30 million cross-border crime cases are detected in the EU each year.

Interesting Facts in the New Version of MMR and ANPR

The new MMR product release introduces enhanced vehicle classification, distinguishing between regular trucks and semi-trucks, and detecting whether a motorcycle rider or cyclist is wearing a helmet. The ANPR system now automatically groups multi-vehicle units into sets, and thanks to the improved detector, it can also identify the number of wheels.

Regular updates to the neural networks ensure recognition of new vehicle models, expand geographical coverage (now including all South American countries), and enhance overall classification accuracy.

TAČR

We are thrilled to announce that Eyedea Recognition has been awarded funding by the Czech Republic’s Technology Agency (Technologická Agentura České Republiky - TA ČR) for our innovative project, “Inovative Object Detector from Traffic Cameras.” This recognition not only reinforces our position as a leader in developing cutting-edge traffic technologies but also validates our ongoing commitment to research and innovation.

With this generous support, we are poised to take our solutions to the next level. Our advanced ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) and MMR (Make and Model Recognition) systems will be further enhanced by integrating new object detection capabilities.

Europol

Europol’s own expert jury selected the participating companies for the event, organized by the Europol Innovation Lab, to showcase the latest technological advancements in the security market.

Eyedea will conduct a series of workshops tailored specifically for Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs). This exceptional event will bring together leading experts from law enforcement, defense, industry, and academia to explore cutting-edge innovations and solutions in the field of security and public safety. Roadpol

We will present to high-ranking police representatives from over 30 countries and the European Union at the International Conference on Road Safety in Italy on October 9th. The presentation, titled “Smart Solutions for Road Safety,” will highlight the impact of ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) and MMR (Mobile Mapping Radar) technologies in enhancing law enforcement capabilities.

ROADPOL is a network of European traffic police forces focused on reducing road fatalities and serious injuries across Europe.

We are proud to announce that Eyedea Recognition successfully showcased its innovative solutions at the Frontex General Industry Days. Being selected as one of 16 companies from 50 applicants highlights the advanced capabilities of our technologies and their critical role in tackling the challenges of modern border surveillance.

During the event, we demonstrated to law enforcement authorities from Frontex, European Member States, Interpol, and Europol how our Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and Make and Model Recognition (MMR) technologies can enhance border management and security measures.

CELBET

Eyedea Recognition, a leading provider of AI-powered visual analysis technology showcased its Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and Make Model Recognition (MMR) capabilities to the Customs Eastern and South-Eastern Land Border Expert Team (CELBET).

This network, involving representatives from 11 EU Member States, focuses on enhancing customs control equipment and techniques. Martin Urban and Filip Kachnic presented how Eyedea's technologies can improve vehicle identification and border management efficiency. We were privileged to contribute to discussions on the latest advancements in EU border management strategies.
