Fifteen pioneering mobility innovations have been announced as finalists for the Intertraffic Awards 2026, showcasing breakthrough solutions in three categories: the Green Globe Award, recognising environmental sustainability; User Experience Award, championing excellence in usability; and Inspiration Award, for groundbreaking new technologies set to lead the industry. The three overall award winners will be announced at the opening ceremony of Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026 on 10 March 2026. The four-day long event, closing on 13 March, will see around 30,000 mobility professionals from over 140 countries gather to explore the future of smart, safe and sustainable mobility. Taking place at RAI Amsterdam, this year's event represents the most comprehensive edition to date, featuring 900 exhibitors across 12 halls, more than 300 expert-led sessions, and dedicated zones for emerging technologies.
The industry experts who make up the Intertraffic Awards Jury spent many hours deliberating over the entries to this year's awards, with each jury member applying individual scores before the entire panel came together to debate the merits of each innovation, eventually whittling the entries down to the final 15 mobility solutions from solution providers worldwide, the international nature of entries demonstrating the global reach of innovation in the sector.
“The judging process for the Intertraffic Awards has always been fascinating, and this year was no different,” says Jury member Tom Stone, editor of Intertraffic World magazine. “Although the jury panel is made up of industry experts, there are always some innovations that surprise us by bringing completely new technology and solutions to the table that we had previously been unaware of. The high-quality of entries makes picking just five in each category a challenge. But after much debate we’ve done it, and now all look forward to the final judging in Amsterdam.”
The Jury’s final decision will be announced at the opening of Intertraffic Amsterdam on the 10th of March 2026.
The nominees for the Intertraffic Awards 2026 are as follows:
Green Globe Award nominees
Ekin Spotter by Ekin Smart City Technologies - Turkey
The world's first Environmental Governance Engine, combining real-time air quality monitoring with AI-driven automated traffic enforcement. By creating Dynamic Green Zones, it detects pollution spikes and triggers immediate restrictions through 6K ANPR and vehicle classification. Powered by Maestro OS, it enables smart traffic management, reduces emissions in real time, and helps cities meet air quality standards with measurable, sustainable impact.
Hatko Sound Barrier by Hatko Sound Barriers - Turkey/Portugal
A sustainable noise barrier made from recycled tires, delivering one of the world's lowest carbon footprints while providing superior acoustic performance. The solution turns waste tires into high-value infrastructure, combining noise reduction with climate and circularity gains. EPD-certified and fully recyclable, it addresses two pollution challenges simultaneously while supporting local manufacturing and job creation.
Le Difese Wall by Noise - Italy
A sound-absorbing cladding system combining acoustic performance, sustainability, and architectural quality. Made from recycled plastic and fully recyclable, it features UV-resistant, mass-coloured elements requiring no paint. The modular design delivers high noise reduction while upgrading existing infrastructure with a clean, modern aesthetic. EPD-certified and supporting circular economy principles.
Noise Detection System by Mobilis Traffic Systems - Brazil
An automated system designed to monitor and record vehicles exceeding legal noise limits. Combining high-sensitivity microphones with intelligent software, it identifies, measures, and records excessive sound events. The system integrates audio, video, and license plate capture with traffic authority databases, enabling automated enforcement and follow-up inspections to reduce urban noise pollution.
MB Air by HR Groep Streetcare - Netherlands
An innovative two-tier bicycle parking system that moves bicycles, including e-bikes up to 35 kg and bikes with child seats, effortlessly and horizontally using compressed air. The world's first CE-certified system of its kind eliminates physical lifting strain, making upper-tier parking truly accessible and optimising scarce urban space for the growing e-bike market.
Inspiration Award nominees
Deltabloc TAM Technology by Deltabloc International - Austria
Groundbreaking fiber optic sensing technology that monitors vehicle behaviour across distances of up to 50 km in real time. Leveraging technology from pipeline and earthquake monitoring, TAM uses high-frequency laser pulses within fiber optic cables to detect traffic jams, accidents, and hazardous driving manoeuvres instantly, transmitting alerts to road operators and emergency services for immediate response.
MAV AiQ by MAV Systems - United Kingdom
A step-change in AI-driven ANPR technology featuring GhostPlate technology to combat illegal, cloned, and stealth number plates. Delivering 99%+ accuracy with up to 20% more valid reads than legacy systems and 30-40% reduction in mismatched records, MAV AiQ achieves these gains without additional gantries or lane closures, making it ideal for scalable Smart City infrastructure.
RTS10 by Byda - South Korea
A safety device providing virtual target information to adaptive cruise control (ACC)-equipped vehicles, helping prevent collisions with construction zones and work vehicles. Tested in 200+ drives, 100% of vehicles decelerated when RTS10 was activated, with average speed reductions of 48%. The system addresses a critical flaw in ACC systems that cannot reliably detect stationary obstacles.
Q-Free Road User Charging by Q-Free - Norway
A distance-based charging system for private cars using easy-to-install, battery-powered, privacy-focused tags. Unlike traditional tolling at fixed points, this solution enables dynamic pricing by distance and zones, supporting fairer road funding as fuel tax revenues decline. Extensively tested since 2021 in large-scale pilots with proven reliability and user acceptance.
Luxene Guidance Line by Luxene - Netherlands
An intelligent, embedded illuminated road marking that provides continuous visual guidance in darkness, rain, and snow. The laser-powered, fiber-optic light line is embedded in road markings with no electronics in the road surface. All power and control are centralized in a roadside cabinet, dramatically reducing maintenance while delivering low-energy visual guidance exactly where users need it.
User Experience Award nominees
ePARK Zone Management by SKIDATA - Austria
A real-time parking zone management platform that enables operators to create, price, and activate parking zones digitally in just two minutes. The fully integrated solution seamlessly connects backend platform, back-office administration, and mobile app, with all configurations instantly reflected for end users. It transforms parking setup from a weeks-long project into a simple, fast interaction.
ParkIT by BookFlowGo - United Kingdom
A valet management solution that successfully migrated Manchester Airport Group's Meet & Greet operations across three airports with zero downtime. Handling over 850,000 cars and tracking 1.8 million vehicle movements annually, the cloud-based platform provides real-time operational data, consolidated insights across multiple locations, and streamlined workflows with reduced manual processes.
TLEX Interchange by Monotch - Netherlands
A cloud-native engine for real-time, low-latency data exchange between mobility actors. Built on AMQP and aligned with international standards such as C-Roads, it enables public authorities and infrastructure owners to deploy complex mobility data exchange through guided, wizard-based setup, easily scaling from pilots to large operational deployments without redesigning data flows.
