Intertraffic Amsterdam concludes 24th edition on an all time high
Intertraffic Amsterdam 2018, the world’s leading trade event for infrastructure, traffic management, smart mobility, safety and parking was one of the best events of its kind ever staged. The variety of companies, presentations from world-leading authorities, ground-breaking innovations and record numbers through the doors all combined to create an event unsurpassed in its reach and scope. The Intertraffic content and network programme was exceptionally well received, meeting the ever increasing needs for knowledge exchange and learning opportunities. Intertraffic Amsterdam is organised by RAI Amsterdam and took place from 20 to 23 March.

Over 30,000 traffic professionals visited Intertraffic Amsterdam 2018 and nearly 900 exhibitors were present to put their latest and most successful products and services in the spotlight.
The three theatres on the showfloor covered nearly 100 content sessions related to themes such as smart parking, smart cities, cooperative, connected and automated driving, Mobility as a Service, Big Data and mobility, societal challenges, road safety and traffic efficiency.

Winners Intertraffic Innovation Awards
Innovation and excellence was rewarded at the world’s largest trade fair for the traffic infrastructure, management, safety, parking and smart mobility sectors, when the winners of the 2018 Intertraffic Innovation Awards were announced.
An international jury has scrutinized well over 60 potential candidates and after careful analysis and consideration has shortlisted 15 final entries – leaving three nominees in each of the five categories. The awards were presented in the categories: Infrastructure, Traffic Management, Safety, Parking, and Smart Mobility.
One of these five winners has also been chosen as the overall winner of the 2018 Intertraffic Innovation Award. The Awards were be presented on 20 March during the opening ceremony of Intertraffic Amsterdam 2018.

European Truck Platooning Challenge
The European Truck Platooning Challenge was present at the Smart Mobility Center during Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016. At the stand visitors saw a movie-presentation with all information about truck platooning: the technics behind platooning, the benefits, the need to work together, the joined vision in Europe…and a very unique momentum: the landing of the first EU Truck Platooning Challenge at Maasvlakte II!
Smart Mobility Hall
Innovations in the world of mobility are moving fast. The traffic technology and automotive industries are undergoing major technological transformations. Cooperation, connectivity and data-sharing have a key focus. Intertraffic Amsterdam brought you the latest products and services to the show floor, with a hall dedicated to Smart Mobility.
MaaS op Intertraffic
Speciaal voor u waren er lezingen geselecteerd die u meer vertellen over MaaS. Zo kon u aansluiten bij sessies van de MaaS Alliance waarin door middel van presentaties en paneldiscussies de rollen van de verschillende spelers binnen MaaS worden besproken als ook de (data-)technische uitdagingen. Andere lezingen werden onder meer verzorgd door Siemens, Vervoersregio Amsterdam + Connexxion, SmartwayZ.NL + de Verkeersonderneming, het ministerie van IenW en de MaaS Taskforce Connekt. In deze sessies stond vooral kennisdeling over MaaS centraal.
The comprehensive seminar, theatre, and demonstration programme has been very well received. Thousands of visitors took advantage of the opportunity to join the 80+ free sessions during Intertraffic Amsterdam 2018.
