Big Data & Mobility
To serve users and consumers in a way they want and expect to be serviced is going to be key. Companies have to be open to utilising new technologies such as cloud, mobility, big data and able to adapt to change when necessary. There will be more machine-generated data for organizers to tap into and major security challenges to take into account.
Mobility as a service
An increasing number of travellers have access to the Internet, Apps, and navigation and communication systems via their smartphones or tablets. Based on real time information and personal preferences of travellers, solution vendors are able to customize mobility services. The key concept behind Mobility as a Service (MaaS) is to provide travellers and goods mobility solutions based on travel needs.
Cooperative, connected and automated driving
Cooperative, connected and automated driving promises to revolutionise mobility. It will offer new mobility solutions that are cleaner, safer and more consumer-focussed and create new areas of business for the traffic and automotive industry. Car-connectivity and automation will bring considerable economic gains for the user such as driver comfort and access to mobility.
Realizing smart roads and a digital infrastructure
Traffic is managed in new ways to solve problems and to facilitate road-users. Traffic, event and incident management via in-car solutions make full use of the road and digital infrastructures. Smarter and easier travel, with the help of efficient routing and traffic information, will ensure smoother journeys for both passengers and carriers.
Tackling societal changes
The industry is aiming to achieve a transport system that is resilient, resource-efficient, climate- and environmentally friendly, safe and seamless for the benefit of all citizens, the economy and society. Finding sustainable solutions to minimize the impact of transport systems on climate and environment, and looking for smart solutions to reconcile the growing mobility needs are key topics.

Join us for a drive on the very first smart road in The Netherlands!
The first smart traffic lights, along the N205 highway in Noord-Holland (near Amsterdam), can ‘talk’ with road users in real time via an app. These traffic lights provide road users with information, anticipate actual traffic conditions and give priority to certain groups of road users. During our showcase you’ll be able to see how it works. Register at our stand no. 08.308.
