In the modern age, mankind has profited by countless advantages compared to the past eras. Worldwide expansion of automobile transport is a typical example of these benefits but as frequently happens, there is also a drawback.
The problems of management and control of road traffic are becoming increasingly more significant, and each year we have to strike the tragic balance of car accidents, which is not only expressed in millions of dollars of damage but, above all, in countless human losses. Improvement of road safety is therefore a matter of great importance and entails the use of qualified human resources and technologically advanced means.
For over thirty years, Sodi Scientifica has been engaged in the development of systems that effectively contribute to gaining greater compliance with speed limits. As of 1974, its instruments have been adopted by the Italian police forces, so that “Autovelox”, the trade name of the speed measurement device, has even been inserted into Italian language dictionaries, and are now widespread in most countries.
Sodi Scientifica was founded in Florence, Italy, in 1964. Where art found its supreme expression in the renaissance era, today remains the intelligence, the innovative spirit, and the initiative that created great personages such as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo.
