Smart Mobility Conference
ITS China and Intertraffic China jointly organised the Smart Mobility Conference. The bi-lingual programme highlighted key industry topics as Mobility as a Service, big data and smart mobility. The Smart Mobility Conference took place on 29 May 2018 and was free to attend for registered visitors.
One of the first confirmed keynote speakers was Carlo van de Weijer.
Carlo van de Weijer (1966) has a Master degree in Mechanical Engineer from the TU Eindhoven and a PhD degree with honours from Technical University in Graz. He carries a broad experience in the automotive industry with a.o. executive positions at Siemens and TomTom. Currently, he is director of the Strategic Area Smart Mobility at the Eindhoven University of Technology, alongside his work for TomTom. He advises ministries and industry around the world on the future of mobility and is a member of the supervisory board of several high-tech companies and start-ups. He is an international speaker on exponential technology and the future of high-tech, amongst others as a faculty member of Silicon Valley based Singularity University and lecturer at Gordon international Business School in Johannesburg.

Intertraffic China launched ITSUP China. In the last few years, China’s emerge in innovation and new technologies have been hard to neglect. That’s why ITSUP, the startup event for young businesses in the automotive and smart mobility industry, went worldwide with a first regional edition in China.
(International) startups joined the event, held during Intertraffic China, for a small participation fee.
Highly valuable business opportunities taking place
During Intertraffic China, we arranged one on one meetings between international businesses and Chinese companies in the matchmaking area which can be found in the Intertraffic Community Hub.
